Eastside Bike Guides
The term "Guide" has many meanings. At Eastside Bike Guides we aren't simply guiding riders on the vast network of trails in the region.
We guide them to greater riding enjoyment. EBG has been offering mobile bike repair, guiding and instructional services since 2012. |
Who is EBG?
Chris Krug

Chris on the summit of Carter Dome 1996.
Chris has been a mountain biker in Mount Washington Valley region or over 30 years. He started doing back country rides in 1987 when he took his first mountain bike up Piper Trail over the summit of Mt. Chocorua and down Jim Liberty trail. He grew up riding trails of that kind technical level but enjoys all aspects of bike riding.
Chris loves bikes. All kinds of bikes. It's not about "lifestyle" for him, bikes are simply his life. What started as a way to feed his need to ride bikes turned into a carreer in the bike industry most of his life. In the last 30 years he's been a bike service shop manager, head mechanic, wholesale DH/Freeride buyer and distribution Rep.
Chris has also worked as a professional mountain bike trail designer/builder, As a builder he's worked with Attitash Mountain Bike Park designing and building much of the most technical portions of the network. He's designed and coordinated trail builds for the US Forest Service, The Nature Conservancy, Tin Mountain Conservation, The Town of Conway and NEMBA and does so in an effort to support the trails as much as they've supported him.
"EBG is a business driven to support the trails. I don't use the trails to suppoort my business."
His work has afforded him opportunities to ride in some of the most famous riding areas in the U.S and Canada with some of the best riders in the world. His experience both on and off the bike in addition to his training as an IMIC/IMBA ICP Level 2 instructor and a PMBI certified instructor, enables Chris to offer in depth and broad spectrum instruction through EBG. Chris is also a member of IMBA, NEMBA and PMBIA.
Unimpressed by the "latest greatest" Chris has been in the business long enough to have a solid sense of what has longevity and whats a fad. He's not interested in what's popular but is interested in what is good, solid and sustainable. Be it bikes or trails. And while others may claim to be "Service Only", EBG is a true service only shop. Chris isn't in the business of selling bikes, parts or anything other than exceptional service. He will guide you in the direction of what you need and where to source it to ensure you get the best product at the best prices and give you top level service.
